Business Development Manager
Company overview
Duraproducts Limited is a UK market leader in sustainable civil engineering and infrastructure solutions. We design and manufacture innovative products that combine technical excellence, environmental responsibility, and long-term value for the built environment.
At the heart of our offer is Durakerb®, a sustainable kerbing system with over 600,000 units installed across the UK. Durakerb® holds BBA HAPAS approval, meets the requirements of National Highways CC207 standards, and is supported by industry-recognised Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), enabling designers to make informed, data-driven sustainability decisions.
Our business is built around circular economy principles, utilising recycled materials and closed-loop manufacturing processes to reduce environmental impact while delivering products that meet the highest technical and performance standards. We are proud of our reputation for integrity, innovation, and partnership—working collaboratively with designers, specifiers, and contractors to deliver future-proof infrastructure solutions.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to increase and secure specification of the Durakerb® product range across the UK.
This is a high-profile, strategic role focused on influencing design at the earliest stages of projects. You will act as a technical and sustainability ambassador for Durakerb®, engaging with specifiers, architects, consulting engineers, and local authority design teams to embed our products into national and regional schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive national specification growth for the Durakerb® product range across highways, infrastructure, and public realm projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, consulting engineers, specifiers, and local authority design teams
- Provide technical and sustainability guidance, with regards to our BBA HAPAS approval, CC207 alignment, and EPD-backed environmental performance
- Promote Durakerb® as a market-leading technical solution aligned with whole-life cost, carbon reduction, and sustainability targets
- Support design teams with specification wording, approvals, and value-engineering solutions
- Work closely with internal sales, technical, and marketing teams to convert specifications into successful project outcomes
- Track specification activity, pipeline development, and performance against agreed targets
- Represent Duraproducts at industry events, CPDs, design forums, and stakeholder meetings
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant standards, approvals, and sustainability drivers within civil engineering and infrastructure design
About You
- Proven experience in a specification-led role within construction, infrastructure, or the built environment
- Experience with civil engineering products is advantageous but not essential
- Strong understanding of how specifications are developed within architectural, engineering, and local authority frameworks
- Comfortable discussing technical compliance, sustainability metrics, and EPD data with design professionals
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to manage a national territory effectively
- A genuine interest in sustainability, innovation, and responsible construction
What We Offer
- Favourable salary package, commensurate with experience
- Performance-related bonus
- Car allowance
- Home-based working with national autonomy
- Supportive leadership team and clear growth ambitions
- Opportunity to represent a proven, approved, and sustainability-led product range with outstanding technical credentials
Why Join Dura Products?
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of sustainable infrastructure in the UK. You will represent a product range that is technically proven, EPD-supported, aligned with National Highways standards and sustainability ambitions and trusted by designers and local authorities nationwide.
If you are motivated by influence, specification success, and making a tangible impact on the built environment, we would welcome your application.
